Reminiscent letter, 1892 April 29.

Wolcott writes from Jacksonville, Illinois, to Joseph R. Carli in Stillwater, Minn., recalling a June 1840 trip with Lewis Hall of New York from Quincy, Illinois to St. Anthony Falls, Minn. He comments on the falls, Fort Snelling, a trip to Lake St. Croix, a trip with J. R. Brown to the Ojibwe settlement at Pokegama Lake, Wolcott's return to St. Anthony, and Hall's journey on to Lake Superior and then down the Bois Brule River.
